Patent Wars: Turbine Inc
Ok, well, now it is time to make a new series / topic about patents. The only reason about patents seems to be to get some money from successful companies.

In this case it is about Turbine Inc. The makers of "Lord of the Rings Online". They now are getting sued by treehouse (an internet company from canada) because they count how often an ability was used by the players (acutally).

What the hell? Can someone please visit them and slap them in the face multiple times? Is it really worth to patent an idea about counting stats?

Treehouse was getting this "patent" in 2012.. so what exactly did they invent, and why is it even possible to patent such idiotic ideas?

If you ask me, if someone like Treehouse would come to me and ask me to patent the idea of counting usage times in realtime (which nearly every software does somehow) - I would just slap them in the face, easy like that.

I will now go out and patent "i++", because "i++" is my idea and everyone who uses "i++" have to pay me license fees.

by the way I could also patent "void main(int, int)" and not to forget, if you want to best patent of all, just patent "foo" and "foobar"

Enough great getting-rich ideas for now :-)
