EU wants to forbid High End Graphics Cards
Well, the EU is a funny institution. They care so much about energy efficiency and environment, that they may try to forbid high end graphics cards just because they consume more energy than slower cards.

That is just ridicolous. If they do that, you will not be able to get High End Graphics Cards (the expensive ones) in europe. You have to import them from other countries like the US.

The US (and asia) will have a good time, because their exports will raise and the economy in europe will stagnete. That's really a pretty cool idea, while greece has no money, spain has no money, and some other countries suffer as well from bad economy.

That reminds me on Lightbulbs. If you are not from europe, you may not know, that Lighbulbs was forbidden in europe, only economy lights are allowed to buy.

Well, in the end, you can still buy lighbulbs, they now just are named "heating lamps" and are more expensive but EU is more happy that way.

If they do not stop that rage about environment, EU will fail to compete in the global market (it started already) .. dumb people will say it is "the crisis" never recognizing, that the crisis is homemade

Don't know who decides such things - some people in europe will not be happy until everyone uses the same crappy low-tech devices and technology stopped to evolve completely..
