Windows Blue - as I told you
There is a news around which mentions, that Microsoft is already working on a new Windows Version - currently named Windows Blue.

Well, it seems, that it will be Next-Generation Version of Windows 8.

As I told you Windows 8 is some sort of Beta Version (like they did with Win Vista which was followed by the very good Win 7) - to get knowledge of what users will expect from a system and how new ideas will work.

To be honest, that's not something I would prefer but actually it is the one and only working way to make a system good.

Compare it with Linux Systems you will see, that there is an ongoing process in tweaking the system depending on what users say. Microsoft cannot do it the same way so they do it like they did since Windows 98 where they dropped the old Win95 and merged it with Windows NT to get a single codebase - which is a good thing.

Win98 was followed by Win98 Second Edition - which was a good version also. Than there was Windows ME - clearly a beta - followed by Windows XP.

So that's the way Windows is going with new version - it's not truely bad, it's how they have to do it to get better versions out.

Like it was back with WinNT and Win95 there is something similiar going on at the moment. Microsoft want to merge their Mobile System with their Desktop System and Windows 8 rolls out the red carpet for App Developers, looking for tweaks and make everything better.

Microsoft also has made a good decision to make Win8 very cheap to get - the following update to Win Blue will be even cheaper (hopefully)

And at this time, there will be a single codebase for every Microsoft Driven Device, which is really good for Developers because they will be able to dive into big markets and get their products out to a good price.

Some people are shitstorming about Win 8 currently - I know, let them .. There were ShitStomers for Win95 also and there where shitstormers for Win 3.1 - but honestly .. is anyone using MS-DOS nowdays because he thinks that is is the better system than Win7? I don't think so - Live is changing and so is the software.

Personally I admit the work of MS - because I am a developer and I know about the benefits the user may not always understand.

In the end I am looking forward for the next stable version of windows (which I think will not be Win8 but the following Version, however they name it)

Good thing for Indy Developers and also for Gamers, because they will get better games ;-)
