What we learn from games like DayZ and War Z
2012 was the year of the Zombie Games .. it was a hype and it is still a hype - even when the genre is getting killed by strange developers :-)

Whatever, now when the world has not collapsed like the Mayas said (which they didn't say, by the way) it is more likely that mankind would get wiped by zombies some time.

The buzz around the mayas just occured because dumb people who think they where scientists made a big mistake. Even worse - people were following them. Whatsoever :-)

Games like War Z (which may have a different title in the future, because they were sued or something because of something simliar to patents) give us a good insight in what MAY happen, when world is overwhelmed by a virus which transforms us to zombies.

A typical game in War Z is like that: You start with nothing, sneek around zombies and maybe try to kill some of them with your pocket light. In the end, there will be another player who shoots you and ignores the zombies.

*buff* I am pretty sure, such guys will do the same in a real zombie apocalypse - they will just shoot unarmed humans because they are not good enough to fight the zombies. In the end the zombies wont be the problem but the people will be.

Unfortunately in War Z that is quite annoying, and therefore I am not really sure if that game will survive very long - maybe they could just wipe away the zombie and just make a regular PvP Game .. zombies have no sense there :-)

On the other side, Sony made a very good game, named "Planetside 2" - very cool, that game deserves to be named because it has everything what it needs and it is free to play in a fair manner. Thumbs up! Like it.

Maybe I will write more about different buzz topics from 2012 because there were a lot of them. No .. not apple, apple is boring ;-)
