Participating at Steam Greenlight - First Thoughts
As some of you may know I submitted Robo Miner at Steam Greenlight - just to see if it has a chance. The Fee is not a problem because I have different Game Prototypes in Progress which are more suited for the PC Plattform than Robo Miner is.
But in the end, many people want to see a Desktop Version of Robo Miner and the best place in concerns of players comfort is steam - that's what it is and it would also be a good place to have every game out there up to date.

If Robo Miner fails to accomplish the needed votes - well, than I distribute myself, no problem at all ;-)

But it is interesting to see user reactions on there and how everything works and what players does expect from steam games.
For sure, Robo Miner is not the type of title which is perfect suited for steam, but in the end it is a try and that is somehow what Greenlight is for.

The most mentioned "cons" in the comments is about, that there are better games, even better free flash games. You know, Robo Miner is free, and Flash Games are free also - just because they are ad-supported.

But a Desktop Game cannot be ad supported at the moment, and that's the whole reason why "better" stay browser games.

But just let's see, what Robo Miner will do, at the moment, the votes are above expected and also above the general average. So it is very fine that way.

To all of you fellow voters: If steam failes - Robo Miner will be available for Desktops this year, that's a promise ;-)
